The Hemisfèric

The Hemisfèric is one of the spaces included in the City of Arts and Sciences. It symbolizes a large human eye that opens up to the world through a pond of 24,000 m2 of surface. The “pupil” is the semi-spherical dome of the projection room that visually transforms into a complete sphere when reflected in the pond. While the “eyelids” are the toric vaults and the “eyelashes” are the glazed grilles that fold slowly turning over central lofts.

The L’Hemisfèric room, which can accommodate up to 310 people, has state-of-the-art technology. Thus, it has 48 slide projectors, video projectors, laser disc and Universarium, large format cinema, laser and a complete lighting system. In the same way, a multichannel surround sound system allows you to listen to the soundtrack through the speakers of the room, while the voice over is done through a personalized sound system. It was a pioneer, the first to be opened to the public and where for the first time in Spain you can enjoy 3 audiovisual shows in the same room:

– Imax Dome cinema: large format films.
– Planetarium: representations of phenomena in the universe.
– Laserium: audiovisual show.

It has the most advanced technology in image and sound and a projection system that allows us to contemplate 9,100 stars.
The Hemisfèric has a large restaurant and a room where meetings and presentations can be held in an exclusive setting. The perimeter ring, with an area of more than 2,000 m2, surrounded by a pond and outdoors, is protected by the spectacular roof of the building. It is the ideal setting where companies and institutions can give a touch of distinction and modernity to dinners, galas, receptions, awards ceremonies and other social events.
