The protected element (BRL) consists of the most representative buildings of the old General Almirall Barracks, that is, the building that faces Carrer Sapadors and the module with an “H” shape that is located on the other side of the manoeuvring yard.

Built in 1921, during the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera, it is a set of military buildings that occupies a large part of a huge block located at the time on the outskirts of the city and today integrated into an urban fabric, depersonalized and poorly planned, of which only the old neighborhood of En Corts station is of interest. popularly known as "of Sapadors" because it is located just north of the old barracks.

The complex consists of a series of functional, sober and simple constructions, of academic cut, resolved in the way usually used by military engineers for this type of installation. Only the main building, with a façade on Sapadors street, was used at the time for the command corps and officers' residence, and the rear pavilion, with an "H" floor plan, located on the other side of the large manoeuvring yard and used as accommodation for the troops. Stylistically, it uses a classical-inspired historicist language whose purpose is to lend attention to the constructively simple whole.

The façade facing Carrer Sapadors incorporates more elaborate ornamentation than the rest (balconies, pilasters, balusters and others). Symmetrical, highly hierarchical, with a strong horizontal component, it highlights the main floor, where the flags are located, through a long series of balconies and balconies balconies and a giant order of Ionic pilasters that also includes the upper floor, up to the cornice. The ground floor has arched voids and, the main floor, lintel hollows topped with curved and triangular alternating pediments. Since 1987 it has been the headquarters of the neighbourhood's Police Station. Its state of conservation is poor.
