On the occasion of Women’s Day, the Benlliure House Museum joins the special commemorative events organised by Valencia City Council with a new guided tour of its collection. The proposed itinerary is structured through a careful and heterogeneous selection of pieces (paintings, textiles, graphic material, furniture) and spaces, where a cultural mediator will offer the keys to reinterpret, from a gender perspective, the collection of the Benlliure House Museum through the eyes of María Benlliure Ortiz.
This project responds to the need to promote a dialogue on the gender issue, encourage the visibility of the problems associated with social roles in art and history, educate about identities, and challenge stereotypes over time and in various spaces.
