The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía completes the artistic component represented by the Generalitat Valenciana’s firm commitment to culture in its broadest sense, along with science, technology and nature.
The majestic building, designed by the Valencian architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava, means for the city of Valencia and the Valencian Community to have the best infrastructure to introduce them on international circuits, especially with regard to opera and great musical shows.

The main building is conceived with a double intention: to build a multiple auditorium and to configure an urban landmark that, at the same time, is implanted in an urban area as a dynamic and consolidating element of the place and becomes a landscape symbol with a certain monumental character for the city of Valencia.

Objectives of the Palau dels Arts:

  • Promote art and culture as an element of social dynamization.
  • Create an avant-garde enclave to host performances of the performing arts.
  • Contribute to the dissemination of various artistic and cultural manifestations such as music, dance or theater.

Saturday: from 11 am to 2 pm
From Monday to Friday with performance, the box office will remain open until the start time of the scheduled performance
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays with representation the Box Office will open 3 hours before the start of the scheduled performance to meet purchase requests for the same day.
