L'HORTA ROOM

Sala L’Horta is a private cultural container with aspiration and vocation for public service.

Since its creation in 1995, it has tried to be a reference space in children’s theater, complementing the work done in school campaigns and reinforcing its position as an exhibition hall open to the general public.

Since 1999, every school year, Sala L’Horta has offered a programme aimed at all schools and all educational stages. The Teatre dels Xiquets School Campaign has become, year after year, a meeting point between children’s and youth theater and students. This initiative of Sala L’Horta is guided by the conviction that the visit to the theatre is an ideal accompaniment to the work carried out by the teaching staff, because it contributes to developing, among others, imagination, reflection, tolerance or empathy. For this reason, the productions offered in the School Campaign aspire to unite entertainment with pedagogical values appropriate to the needs of students.
