The Molí del Sol is located in the municipality of Valencia, Partida de Dalt de Campanar, currently on the northern edge of Cabecera Park, next to the old Turia riverbed. It is built on the mother irrigation canal of Rascanya and was the first mill of this system.

Architecturally it is a building that represents the constructive characteristics of a farmhouse of the late nineteenth century, with the peculiarity of its adaptation to the uses of the hydraulic mill.

It is the last mill built in the Huerta de Valencia, Therefore, it does not represent the greatest value as a built element, but it is one of the few that remain standing and with a still orchard environment, so its protection as a building is recommended, as well as that of its surroundings to avoid new constructions that affect its perspective.

Construction typology:
One-storey building consisting of two T-shaped naves of which, the main one, where the access door is and was the tooth room, is transversal to the cashier of the irrigation channel, while the second is parallel to it. The first nave consists of two bays supported by pillars and a two-sided roof, made of tiles, and has several latticed openings. The rest of the units were the house, warehouse and attached corral.

It can be dated around 1880, because it was the last hydraulic mill built not only in the Rascanya irrigation canal but in the whole of the Huerta de Valencia.

After a period in a state of abandonment in which there was a great deterioration, in 2005 it had a complete remodeling and restoration, based on a project by the architects E. de Miguel, V Silla and R. López, welcoming new uses and preserving part of the historical facilities the restoration. Apparently it has not lost any important architectural element of its whole, both the building in height and the underground hydraulic part, although elements of its machinery are no longer preserved.

Current occupation:
The mill is currently used as a local police centre.
