Once again, and coinciding with the start of the Christmas holidays, La Botiga de les Joves Joieres returns to Plaça Viriato. The initiative, organized by the Jewelry Department of the Escola Superior de Disseny de València, has become a key educational activity and a space to showcase the work developed by its students. This year, the event also has a special significance as it takes place during the 175th anniversary of the School, highlighting the institution’s long trajectory and its commitment to creation, design, and innovation.
On Wednesday 17, Thursday 18, and Friday 19 December, the public will be able to discover pieces designed and crafted by 54 jewelry students, as well as graduates from the Bachelor’s Degree in Jewelry and Object and the Advanced Artistic Jewelry program. In addition, 22 participants will compete for the 7th Joves Joieres Award, presenting experimental and bold works that demonstrate their creative capacity.
The so-called New Valencian Jewelry, now understood as a fully contemporary expression, is a field where craftsmanship, innovation, new technologies, and conceptualization converge. This combination opens the door to new languages that sometimes even challenge the traditional ergonomics of body-related typologies.

A collaborative project
La Botiga is a transversal project involving the specialties of Jewelry, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Photography, with the support of numerous jewelry companies from the Valencian Community, including:

The project is also supported by the Centre d’Artesania de la Comunitat Valenciana, AVAJOYA, and the Cultural Association Escola de Disseny de València.
This year’s organization is led by third-year students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Jewelry and Object and second-year students of the Advanced Artistic Jewelry program at the Escola Superior de Disseny de València.
