Valencia was founded in 138 BC. Since then and until today, the city can be proud to possess a rich sample of two thousand years of history, and to have it within reach of the citizen, thanks to the work of expert archaeologists and cultural heritage professionals who, with their work of documentation, research, conservation and dissemination of archaeological remains, have made it possible to get to know the origin and history of what was once called Valentia in an exhaustive way.
