Route Concept
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Francisco Mora Berenguer (1875-1961), we have designed a route through the most remarkable buildings located in the historic center and the Ensanche of Valencia, highlighting the figure of the architect who served as municipal architect from 1901 to 1951.
The visits are organized around the exhibition, so the route will begin at the Exhibition Hall of the City Hall. Once the architect’s figure and his importance in the creation of modern Valencia and its Ensanche have been contextualized, we will start a walk through the city, paying special attention to the following buildings:
Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square)
a. Façade of the Municipal Building (1906)
b. Casa Suay Bonora (1909)
c. Casa Noguera (1909)
Plaza del Mercado (Market Square)
a. Casa Francisco Ordeig (1908)
Calle de la Paz (Peace Street)
a. Casa Sagnier 1 (1903)
b. Casa Sagnier 2 (1905)
Calle Jorge Juan (Jorge Juan Street)
a. Mercado de Colón (1914)
The guides conducting the activity are Catalina Benito Mulet (Official Guide No. 1046) and María Hernández Reinoso (Official Guide No. 660), both graduates in Art History and certified by the Valencian Tourism Agency of the Generalitat Valenciana.
