Today, 18 April, is the International Day for Monuments and Historic Places, an event that has been organised by UNESCO since 1984 to raise awareness of the importance of preserving and enhancing monuments and sites for the enjoyment of the whole world.
On the occasion of the event, admission to monuments and archaeological sites in Valencia will be free today. This includes the Serranos and Quart Towers, the Lonja, the Almudín, the Atarazanas, the Archaeological Centre of l’Almoina, the Archaeological Crypt of the San Vicente Prison and the Tozal Gallery.
We would also like to thank all those who have shown an interest in visiting the Lonja tower. Bookings for guided tours, which opened yesterday, are sold out for all sessions. But you can visit the rest of the monuments and archaeological sites on your own.
